In this workshop...

Learn how to create a sketchnoted version of your traditional holiday card/letter.

You'll need:

A rough idea of your card/letter's contents
Paper
Pencil & eraser
Black pen and choice of colors or iPad

*It would also be helpful to have an idea of how you'll be sending your card (ex: printer paper, folded card, online card service like Minted) If you don't know, that's ok! I'll talk about different options.

FAQs:

Do I have to have all of my card's content ready?

Your card content doesn't have to be finalized, but it would be great to have bullet points of what you'll want to share so you can get started and work along with the workshop. Here's a few examples of what you could include:

Blurbs for each family member
Highlights of the year: firsts, trips, favorite memories
Stats like books read, weight lost, miles run, clients served, trips taken, dollars raised, etc.
Pictures of things you'll want to include or draw
Miscellaneous things like scripture, a personal note, a joke, etc.

I can't join live. Can I purchase the replay afterwards?

The replay is only available for registered attendees. Even if you can't join live, please register to ensure you get replay access. Registration closes 24 hours before the event.

Can my kids join me?

While the workshop is intended for adult-level communication and sketchnoting, it's fine if you want your kids to join. Language and contents are kept appropriate!

I'm a professional illustrator most known for "sketchnotes" (aka live event drawings), and I'm the author of The Art of Visual Notetaking. I've been teaching creative workshops to thousands of students both online and in-person since 2017. I want to help you connect with your creativity and grow in confidence! When I'm not teaching, I run a creative studio, Flavor Graphics, alongside my husband in Bend, Oregon.
