Meet Your Instructor

Emily Mills

I'm a professional illustrator most known for "sketchnotes" (aka live event drawings), and I'm the author of The Art of Visual Notetaking. I've been teaching creative workshops to thousands of students both online and in-person since 2017. I want to help you connect with your creativity and grow in confidence! When I'm not teaching, I run a creative studio, Flavor Graphics, alongside my husband in Bend, Oregon.

Workshop FAQs:

I have an Android tablet. Can I still sign up?

It is not recommended but you may join if you wish. This workshop is only going to cover iPad functions and several apps available. I am unable to accommodate any questions about android/other tablets or the apps available for them. 

What will I need for the workshop?

  • An apple iPad
  • An apple pencil or other stylus (your finger is not a sketchnoting tool!)
App purchases are not required, but you may want to download the following apps so you can follow along: 

What time is the workshop in my timezone?

The workshop starts on Saturday, Aug 14th at 10:30am central time US. You can find the start time in your timezone using  https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

How long is the workshop?

The workshop is slated for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Will a replay video be available?

Only registered attendees will have access to the replay video. You can register even if you aren't able to join live.
